Hello all,

As I've recently passed my third anniversary on Newsvine (!) I cannot help but wonder about one very, very unimportant detail that has, until this point, been a major part of my presence on this site. Since the time I joined in August of 2009 as a very immature 14 year old, I've held the title as the youngest active user on Newsvine (by about a month), however now that I'm a bit older I wonder if there's someone that has been posting that I am unaware of that may be a bit more, well, young.

The reason I keep looking for someone in this community younger than I has nothing to do with any sort of recognition around here. For those of you who remember three years ago (and beyond), you may remember reading and posting in a thread that asked what everyone's age was, merely to determine the oldest and youngest users. While I don't remember who gained the other title, what struck me was that I was not the only teenager on the 'vine at the time. There happened to be someone one month older, and several here who were only a year or two older. Since then, most of those folks have quietly slipped away, yet none have taken their place. I look forward to the time when I can relate to other columnists and the time when my generation has a decent representation around here, and for a time that seemed like that would happen. However, if it turns out to be true that I am still the youngest, then that concerns me just a bit. As people my age grow more aware about the world around them, they should be flocking to this site, yet, there are none. Where is the youth in our community?

So if anyone has any information about a new user younger than 17, I'd love to know. I would love to be relieved that I can finally shed the title of youngest active user, and pass it along to someone else that can breathe some new life into this site.
